Peter Harris has unrivalled knowledge of British independent education and his network of contacts in the British boarding school system is second to none.  

In 1999, he was appointed by the King’s School Ely – established in 973 AD and one of the oldest independent schools in the UK – as Director of King’s International Study Centre to equip international students with the language and study skills needed to access a British boarding education.  

Over the past eight years, he has advised and assisted over 300 international students and their families on transfers to top British boarding schools. His knowledge enables him to help in the choice of the most appropriate school, taking into account a student’s academic ability, sporting, musical and social preferences and the wishes of the parents.  

In 1990, Queen Elizabeth awarded Peter Harris the Commemoration Medal for services to education in New Zealand. In 2005, he was awarded a fellowship from Dublin Metropolitan University for services to international education. He is an executive member of the British Association of International Study Centres.
